Square Root Divisor Roulette: rules and math

The official website of hh666. These rules describe the original two-reading demo and its exact band coverage, gross return and local wallet.

Two readings and the score

Draw two independent uniform integers from 0 through 12. Multiply (first + 1) by (second + 1), find the largest perfect-square divisor of the product and take its square root as the score. There are 169 equally likely ordered pairs; the scores themselves are not equally likely.

Bands and gross multipliers

Lower accepts scores 1, 2, 3, 4 and covers 148 of 169 pairs. Middle accepts 5, 6, 7, 8 and covers 16 pairs. Upper accepts 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and covers 5 pairs. A hit returns stake × (0.96 × 169 / coverage); a miss returns zero. The multipliers are approximately 1.096216, 10.140000 and 32.448000. The interface rounds multipliers to six decimal places and hit percentages to three; settlement uses the unrounded multiplier. Gross return includes the stake, so it is not net profit.

Choose before drawing

Choose a stake of 10, 20, 50 or 100 and one score band before starting. Starting deducts and saves exactly one stake; both readings belong to that captured stake and selected band. During the round, stake buttons, band buttons, the draw button and restoration are disabled. Sound remains available. After settlement, the chosen stake and band remain until changed or the page is reloaded.

One completed draw

The two readings are revealed in sequence and the round settles after the second reveal. There is no intermediate collection, automatic collection threshold or pause control. The first reading alone does not pay a separate prize. Leaving or reloading an unfinished round does not preserve its progress.

Expected return and samples

Each band has 96% mathematical expected gross return before whole-coin credit: coverage/169 × (0.96 × 169/coverage) = 0.96. This is not hit probability or a promised session result. Lower and Middle simulations each used 1,000,000 rounds and measured about 96.0626% and 95.8991%. Upper used 10,000,000 rounds and measured about 95.7625%, with standard error about 0.17365 percentage points. These are sample estimates. Interrupted rounds that never settle are not included in this expectation.

Worked score and wallet example

Readings 2 and 3 produce 3 × 4 = 12. The largest perfect-square divisor is 4, so the score is 2 and matches Lower. With stake 20 and no previous remainder, gross return is about 21.924324 coins: 21 are credited and about 0.924324 is saved separately. The wallet therefore gains 1 whole coin after the 20-coin debit. Readings 5 and 5 produce 36, score 6 and match Middle.

Frequently asked questions

How is the score calculated?

Multiply the two readings after adding 1 to each. Take the square root of the largest perfect-square divisor of that product. Readings 2 and 3 produce 12, largest square divisor 4 and score 2.

Can I collect after the first reading?

No. There is no intermediate collection. Both readings belong to the same stake and band; settlement occurs after the second reveal.

Is 96% guaranteed?

No. It is the expected gross return before whole-coin credit for completed rounds. It is not a hit probability or a promise for your session.
